The UTB-STE Connect 2025 continued with several major conferences and events. The events were held at Universiti Teknologi Brunei.
One of the featured events was the 3rd UTB University Presidents' Forum, UPF, which discussed the future of higher education in a rapidly evolving global landscape. The first session, “Innovative Models for Future-Proofing Graduates – Skills for 2030," featured a keynote by Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB.
Meanwhile, the Women's Leadership Forum, WLF, discussed the growing role of women in the era of Artificial Intelligence, AI. The forum was jointly organised by UTB and the Brunei Affiliate of the Society of Women Engineers.
The events coincided with the launching of Byte-N-Go, Brunei's first AI-powered convenience store, officiated by Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education. The day also featured an exchange of Memorandum of Understanding between UTB and University of Technology Sarawak, UTS, signifying both institutions' commitment to advancing academic collaboration, research initiatives, and knowledge.
